Karan Higdon: Michigan Wolverines running back to return for senior season

Michigan running back Karan Higdon plans to keep the NFL draft on hold and return for his senior season.

Higdon, who led the Wolverines with a team-high 11 rushing touchdowns, made his intentions known with a text message to the Detroit Free Press on Wednesday.

“After speaking with my family I have decided that I’m going to return for my senior year,” the 5-foot-10, 190-pound Higdon wrote.

Higdon, who rushed for 994 yards on 164 carries this past season, enjoyed his finest performance with a 200-yard, two-touchdown effort against Minnesota.

Chris Evans was second on the team in rushing with 685 yards for Michigan, which opens its 2018 season at Notre Dame on Sept. 1.
